Homework Coaching

Ridgway Coaching in partnership with Homework Coach offers homework coaching for students who are frustrated by the demands of daily homework. Coaching sessions are conducted in the student’s home. The homework coach supervises the student in completing the daily homework assignments with the intent of helping the student become independent in the process. A homework coach is not a tutor although the individual may give some assistance upon request.

The homework coach works closely with the parents and/or classroom teacher when appropriate, and assists the student in developing good habits in the following areas:

• Organization of time and materials, notes, etc.
• Completion of daily and long-term assignments
• Strategies for learning content material and studying for quizzes and tests
